behind the flowers
Hello! My name is Khristina and I am the owner and lead designer of Selah Ray Florals. I am originally from Ohio, spent my high school years in a fun mountain town in North Carolina, and now live in Virginia! I love a well made tea latte and my favorite flower changes with the season! I adore my niece and nephews and I will do just about anything for my family and friends.
I love this business because it is where my love for people, creativity, and flowers collide! I am a helpless romantic, making weddings my favorite event to design for. I also create arrangements for special events, businesses, and personal bouquets.
I named my floral business after two things: my dad and my faith. My dad, James Ray, was my biggest encourager and had a joy that was contagious! The word Selah is used in Scripture, meaning to pause, rest, or reflect from. I have learned a lot over the years on this topic of rest, resulting in a deeper understanding of who I am in Christ. I love working with my hands to create something beautiful, while being present in the process.
I have designed with Kelly Perry of Philosophy Flowers and have taken business and design courses through Team Flower and Sarah Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers.
